Done and Done!!!!

I am currently sitting in my office here in Amsterdam all by my lonesome. Everyone is away at either a conference, or training, or did not come in. Anyway all I am saying is that they have left me alone in the office and I can not say it was to smart on their part. Also I am very happy that I, in fact will not be in the office tomorrow as I will be going to an AIESEC conference here in the Netherlands. I think it would be a very lonely Friday if I were to have to spend it all on my own.

First I have to start off by saying I really don’t know what has happened to me here but it is, well wait, I am always cold here at work. My former furnace like self has left and I am now an ice cube and it really bothers me. In all honestly I am sick of hearing. Your cold? But you’re from Canada. Ya whatever! people from Canada get cold to.

I am just about to finish my third week of work. So far it has been interesting. Work is going good. I think my biggest fear about working in another country was the fact that I had, or was going to have to maybe leave a lot of my personality at home. The first week when I did, it was quite a bad week and I thought I am just going to ride out these 24 weeks. Since going sailing and bringing out most of my personality, things have gone progressively better. It is funny how the one lesson I say I have learnt is something which I can not bring out in me all the time. Be yourself anywhere. If people are not going to like the real you, they will probably hate the fake you.

So I really can not believe I have already completed three weeks of work. Done and Done. None the less I think I am going to enjoy my time here in this city of beautiful things!
